Welcome to HuDu Skincare, traditional, artisan plant skincare and remedies crafted lovingly from the purest natural ingredients. HuDu Skincare is a holistic approach to skincare, respecting the skin, our bodies largest organ and greatest defender, which at times can be as delicate as a flower. Offering a unique line of adaptable and interchangeable skin allies, to heal, repair and revitalize, to support its natural functioning. Offerings, to bring our skin back to vibrant health and provide sensations that nourish our soul and calm our minds. Creating rituals that make us feel and look our best, memories of joy, for within the process of self-care we empower our own natures.

PHILOSOPHY AND ETHICS

  • Raw materials are carefully selected, choosing the highest quality, natural ingredients.
  • Minimum waste. Glass, aluminum (filmed) and minimum PET plastic recycle-able bottles and jars.
  • No mineral oils, synthetic fragrance oils, palm oil, petrolatum, lanolin, colorants, sulphates, parabens, or synthetic preservatives.
  • Trading fairly with independent or local producers to supply raw ingredients.
  • No GMO or transgenic products.
  • All oils are cold pressed
  • Cruelty free. No ingredients or products is ever tested on animals.
  • The only animal product we use in some products are ethically sourced beeswax.
  • All formulations are traditionally mixed conscientiously and by hand. Avoiding extreme high temperatures for all butters and oils to help retain the raw, beneficial properties.

Powerful yet fragile Mother nature offers us an abundant source of healing, we are connected to her patterns and vibrations. Plants and herbs are raw materials that are best enjoyed unadulterated, and with their full integrity still intact. Formulations created in HuDu’s atlier include only ingredients that remain as nature made them. HuDu uses traditional methods where components are infused, tinctured, and blended meticulously, with respect to the raw nature of the material, as well as their compatibility in the formulation itself, resulting in a pure, and highly effective product.

THE ARTISANAL PROCESS


Every stage of the artisanal process is shaped by the human hand and avoids the use of large industry, factory manufacture or synthetic chemicals or fillers. Products are crafted in small batches, in a traditional process all the way to the very last steps where every bottle is shined, labelled, and packaged with care and love. This practice not only allows an extremely high level of quality, but it also supports minimum waste, lower carbon footprint, and acts with conscience and respect to the natural environment. As every single offering is nurtured to life in this way, they arrive to you carrying all these sensations and their unique love stories.

HuDu skincare is the science of life, of elements and of nature. The roots of HuDu Skincare come from the earth, from the pure energy of nature and her tremendous healing powers. The inspiration is gathered from ancient wisdom, herbal remedies, and local knowledge from our human heritage of healers from all over the planet. By tapping into this wealth of healing power we all have at our fingertips and employing techniques to make the most of the fresh, most nutrient botanicals we are gifted with the greatest healing properties for our own wellbeing. As natural healing is innate in all of us, it is common sense, and of course, in keeping with the wisdom passed down to us from our elders.

FROM THE ROOT TO THE SHOOT


HuDu Skincare was born in Johannesburg South Africa, it started in my kitchen, where I first formulated my own products for various skin problems and issues that I, my friends, family, and babies were suffering from. With successful results and valued feedback from loyal testers, clients, and friends, I have nurtured to life a line of effective and adaptable skincare products and remedies. Seven years into this journey HuDu Skincare continues to evolve, transform, and refine. HuDu Skincare is my offering with heart and soul, grown like a flower from earth and intended to bring joy to all that see or touch it.
